Youth of The Nation by P.O.D.

When I was 17 years old I was waiting for the bus outside of school. I met a guy who had his own company truck.

I agreed to give him my phone number. So he called me that night and he came and picked me up. We drove around the city and then he told me stuff like I'm gonna take care of you and pillow talk stuff.

Then we parked in a back alley behind someone's garage. I honestly didn't know what was going on. Next thing I know he just pulled my head down to give him oral sex so I did. He came and I spit it out of the car door.

Then he drove me home like it was no problem. I didn't really understand what it was, was it rape? I didn't ask for it or want to do anything of the sort for him. He just forced me. Sometimes I blame myself for even getting into that car.

I know now that what he did was wrong. I was young and innocent and didn't
deserve that. He had no right to violate me like that.

"It is an illusion that youth is happy, an illusion of those who have lost it; but the young know they are wretched for they are full of the truthless ideal which have been instilled into them, and each time they come in contact with the real, they are bruised and wounded."
~ W. Somerset Maugham
