Medications

Survivors often struggle with psychological symptoms, such as depression, anxiety and panic. Certain medications can allieviate these symptoms, and make it easier to heal. If you think you are suffering from Depression, an anxiety disorder or some other psychological after effect of your rape, you may want to talk to your doctor, or a psychiatrist about medication. Here is a list of drugs your doctor might prescribe. Please remember that I am not a doctor and that I gathered this information from various internet sites. Talk to your doctor about benefits, side effects, drug interactions, etc, of any medication before taking it. You can share your experiences with medication by using the form at the bottom of the page.
